Positive, developmentally appropriate strategies that help children participate successfully in everyday environments.
The KidsCentric Approach
A child is more than a diagnosis, service, or set of goals.
KidsCentric takes a holistic approach to special education. Our educators and clinicians work closely with families, classroom teams, and other providers to understand the whole child, build on existing strengths, and support meaningful development.
Every service is shaped by the child’s Individualized Education Program and delivered in the most natural, inclusive environment possible.
Every plan begins with the individual child.
Families, educators, and clinicians work toward shared goals.
We build on what each child can already do.
Support is designed to help children participate more independently and confidently.
Guidance for Families
The evaluation process and the provider-enrollment process are related, but they are not the same. Start with the pathway that reflects where your family is today.
Path 1
For families who are still learning what services may be appropriate.
Your child is evaluated to understand strengths, developmental needs, and eligibility for preschool special education.
The evaluation team determines whether preschool special education services are appropriate.
If services are recommended, an Individualized Education Program outlines approved goals and support.
Path 2
For families who already have an IEP or referral and need the next step.
The family reviews the approved services, placement options, and practical considerations such as location.
Our team reviews the referral, answers questions, and determines the appropriate service or program pathway.
Educators and clinicians begin support, communicate with the team, and monitor progress toward IEP goals.
Not sure which pathway applies? Share what you know so far and our team will help you identify the appropriate next conversation.
